

Action on Smoking and Health & Health published Third Annual Tobacco Control Survey
The report presenting the results of the third annual survey of tobacco control leads in upper-tier local authorities in England has been published today. The report was written by ASH and commissioned by CRUK. Key findings of the report: Smoking cessation budgets have been cut in 59% of local authorities this year. Listen to your lungs
The British Lung Foundation have launched the ‘listen to your lungs’ campaign, to encourage people not to ignore symptoms of breathlessness. The online breath test asks simple questions and then provides advice, including whether it’s time to speak to someone, such as a doctor. Mayor’s air quality proposals – survey open now
Air pollution is a major concern for patients with respiratory disease. It has hit the headlines several times this year with shocking figures on the estimated number of excess deaths from this preventable problem. PLAN are therefore excited by the focus on air pollution by new London Mayor, Sadiq Khan.
